Lest you worry that your trek across the Catawba River Valley’s breweries could become boring after the first one or two, you should know that each segment of your journey is filled with unique landscapes and cultures. You’ll get a taste of what the Catawba Native American Tribe found so endearing for more than 12,000 years before European settlers arrived. In addition, the 14 breweries on this trail are each unique in their own way.

Whether you start on the western end at Hillman Beer in Old Fort and head east or begin in Lenoir, North Carolina and head down to Granite Falls, Hickory, and Newton before heading west, you are sure to have an amazing time experiencing not only the delicious craft breweries, but also a ton of sights along the way.
