Taking a road trip from Granite Falls and the Lake Hickory area to the northern town of Blowing Rock affords plenty of great views, as well as plenty of other things to see, do, and experience.   • Tri-County Motor Speedway- If you are visiting or driving through on a Friday evening, stop by for the weekly races on their 4/10-mile banked asphalt track.

  • T. H. Broyhill Walking Park- Any road trip needs opportunities to get out and stretch your legs. This park offers a beautiful walking path, botanical gardens, nature sanctuary, restrooms, observation deck, and pavilion with 20 acres to experience.
  • Lenoir Greenway- With more than 9 miles of trails, you’ll be able to walk, hike, run, cycle, or ride your mountain bike in an amazing environment.
